On the morning of August 16, 2024, UNIT Technology Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the State Bank of Vietnam’s Information Technology Department, organized a seminar entitled: “Enhancing Efficiency and Optimizing Customer Experience with Advanced Technology.”
The seminar was well-attended by representatives from domestic and foreign banks and finance companies in Ho Chi Minh City. The event presented numerous practical solutions such as automating business processes and user experiences, as well as leveraging technology to optimize system infrastructure and databases. The overarching goal was to enhance the overall customer experience, not only for in-person transactions but also for digital platforms.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Pham Quoc Trinh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the State Bank of Vietnam’s Information Technology Department, expressed his hope that technology companies and attendees could discuss and share useful information and practical experiences gained during their implementation of digital transformation solutions and upgrading of bank IT systems.
A highlight of the seminar was the Q&A session and experience sharing by two guest speakers:
- Mr. Bui Anh Tu, Director of Financial Institutions, Sacombank.
- Mr. Tran Nhat Minh, Deputy General Director, Director of Technology Services and Digital Banking, Vietnam International Bank (VIB).
In the discussion session, Mr. Tran Nhat Minh shared VIB’s goal of “becoming the most innovative and customer-oriented bank in Vietnam,” providing attentive service with the most advanced technologies by focusing on the 3DT target: Digital Banking, Digitalization, Data & Technology. Specifically:
- Digital Banking: Developing mobile banking applications
- Digitalization: Digitizing transaction processes, from money transfers to loan procedures and savings deposits
- Data: Optimizing data storage and exploitation, applying AI algorithms and big data
Meanwhile, Mr. Bui Anh Tu also shared Sacombank’s “digital strategy,” which includes the goals of modernizing products and services, digitizing processes, modernizing technology platforms, and developing digital capabilities and culture.
Within the framework of the program, representatives from various companies also presented to banking representatives on the following topics:
- UNIT – Building automated customer journeys with the Business Process Automation (BPA) platform.
- SOTI – Efficiently operating businesses on mobile devices withSOTI
- Red Hat – A comprehensive and synchronized platform for modern applications
- EDB – Optimizing bank efficiency: Transforming with PostgreSQL
- Camunda – Rapid digital transformation with intelligent process orchestration
Through the program, the organizers hope to create positive changes that not only help banks and finance companies impress users and improve operational efficiency but also promote the modernization of Vietnam’s banking and finance industry, aligning with the international standard of “digital transformation – green transformation.
